Organizational partners: Siauliai Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts, Siauliai Municipality, European Regional Science Association Baltic Section, Academic centre for Public Administration.
The aim of the conference is to bring together scientists, researchers, practitioners from the field of Economics, Management, Marketing, Finances and Accounting, Public Policy and Administration to discuss the contribution, role and decisions of different actors or stakeholders (business companies, government and local self-governments, non-governmental organizations) when developing competitive region. This year we combine three events under the common topic: Trade Fair „Siauliai 2018“, E. Galvanauskas Scientific Conference on Economics and Management and Good Governance in Local Self-Government Scientific Conference. We expect to strengthen multidisciplinary approach to the economic and political spatial development issues and support greater synergy between science and practice.
Special topic of the plenary session – “Challenges of International Trade and Economic Potential of the Regions”. Researches, representatives from European governing institutions, practitioners will share scientific and practical approaches how synergies between science and practice, business and government, communities and local government could increase sustainable economic growth and the competitiveness in the global market.
Main Conference questions focuses on: What challenges Regions with different economic development are faced because of impact of Globalization? Synergy or competition among countries, business and government could ensure sustainable growth? Growing potential of Regions is a national matter or European strategic interest? A support or a brake on the economy?
The conference will focus on a broad range of topics:

Participation: i) with oral presentation; ii) with oral presentation+ publication; iii) as participant without presentation or publication.
