Non-Degree Studies (Free Movers)
Vilnius University Šiauliai Academy welcomes international students to apply on individual basis as free movers (non-degree students). This applies to foreign students who wish to take only a few courses (at least 15 ECTS per semester) at Šiauliai University, or who plan to study in Šiauliai for one or two semesters.
Free movers may apply for courses at Bachelor's as well as Master's level. Therefore we recommend that free mover applicants have already completed at least two semesters of full time university studies, or hold a BA degree.
Free movers are permitted to participate in courses and examinations. However, they are not registered as regular university students and are not entitled to complete a university degree at Šiauliai University. After their studies in Šiauliai University, Free Mover students receive a transcript of records, but not a degree or a diploma.
Required Documents
1. Application form
2. A certificate and a Transcript of records proving that you have succesfully completed at least 2 semesters of your studies at a higher education institution
3. English proficiency certificate
4. Motivation letter
5. Copy of passport (for non EU citizens) or ID card (only for EU and EEA citizens)
6. A copy of document showing paid application fee
7. Confirmation about the scholarship or bank statement: document confirming availability of subsistence funds: for students 200 EUR/month or 2400 EUR/year and funds for return (for non EU citizens)

Application deadlines
- Application deadline for Autumn semester - June 1st (May 1st for non-EU students)
- Application deadline for Spring semester - November 1st (October 1st for non-EU students)
Tuition fees
All free movers are obliged to pay application fee 50 EUR and tuition fees. The tuition fees are based on the ECTS workload chosen.
